The Los Angeles Lakers had an early exit in the 2021 NBA Playoffs, thanks in part to a strong showing by the Phoenix Suns and an unfortunate injury to Anthony Davis. Over the past couple of weeks, the talks came out about James' legacy ending and his time to retire approaching quickly. LeBron James heard the haters, and fired back on Twitter, quoting Drake in the process of it all.

Yeah, LeBron is not tolerating any of that. The Lakers are less than a calendar year removed from an NBA Finals victory, and there is no reason to suggest that he is anything close to finished. He still had a remarkable year, and if Davis was healthy, it's likely that the Lakers would still be playing.

The Suns are good and are in the Western Conference Finals, but a healthy Davis and James are among the best duos in the entire NBA.

LeBron James is still around, still producing, and still dangerous, and Drake's lyrics certainly hint at the King coming into the 2021-2022 season– one with a full slate of rest and recovery– with some extra motivation amind hopes of bringing another title to Los Angeles.

Don't poke the bear, yet somehow people keep hating on LeBron and saying his time is done. Remember last time people said that?
