League of Legends is finally bringing back the beloved game mode Nexus Blitz after over two years since its last iteration. Read more details about that and the full League of Legends Update 13.21 Patch Notes here.

Nexus Blitz is Back!

Nexus Blitz was last playable in Patch 11.11, over two years ago. A lot of changes, rebalances, and reworks have been added since then, so Riot Games decided to not apply any of the Champion Balance adjustments to Nexus Blitz this time around. “From numerous item/champion reworks to the durability update, a lot has happened since the last time Nexus Blitz was live. We’re taking this opportunity to reset the balance and establish a new baseline.”

Jungle Pets in Nexus Blitz

The stacks required to evolve your Jungle Pet have been halved, meaning you only need 10 stacks to get the first upgrade and 20 total stacks to reach the second upgrade.

Event Spawn

Event spawns have been tweaked to either spawn neutrally or in a way that favors the losing team. This affects the following events:

  • Loot Teemo
  • Loot Veigar
  • Bardle Royale (and all of its variants)
  • King of the Hill
  • DPS Race

A bugfix for Prize Fight and URF Deathmatch that properly resets ability Cooldowns per round has also been pushed.

Champion Changes

Akshan

  • During events with a ring of fire (Bardle Royale, URF Deathmatch, Prize Fight), killing scoundrels will revive teammates with 30% of their maximum health at the location of their death.

Bel'Veth

  • Enemy jungle guardians drop an Enhanced Void Coral

Ivern

  • Ivern is joining the Nexus Blitz fun this time around. Sadly Ivern’s Friend of the Forest Passive has been disabled.

League of Legends Patch 13.21

Apart from Nexus Blitz, League of Legends Update 13.21 Patch Notes still has some exciting changes including buffs to some junglers, more K'Sante buffs, and making Brand and Zyra more viable in the jungle.

For cosmetics, Cafe Cuties Rumble, Cafe Cuties Jinx, Cafe Cuties Poppy, and Cafe Cuties Lulu will be available on October 25, 2023 at 20:00 CEST along with the delayed Coven Syndra who is finally joining her sisters.
