YouTube star-turned-boxer Logan Paul is finally set to fight a legitimate opponent as he agreed to match up against Floyd Mayweather on June 6. After the news went public, Paul admitted on Twitter that his mom is terrified of the idea of him fighting a boxer like Mayweather.

Like his younger brother, Logan Paul has boxing experience as he first entered the ring back in August of 2018 when he went up against a fellow YouTuber, KSI. The match ended in a majority draw but the two fighters eventually had a rematch to determine a clear winner. In November 2019, both Paul and KSI had another go at it with the latter emerging with the triumph by way of a split decision victory.

Mayweather managed to see action inside the ring even after his retirement from boxing. He had an exhibition match against Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa which he won via knockout back in December 2018. To add, rumors of his rematch with Manny Pacquiao continued to linger as Mayweather pondered on possibly returning to professional boxing but no deal ever came to fruition.
Meanwhile, in December 2020, the fight against Paul has been announced to be held on February 20, 2021. However, it was postponed to a later date until the two sides agreed to fight on June 6 of this year instead.
Indeed, Logan Paul's mettle will be tested when he finally goes toe-to-toe with Floyd Mayweather around two months from now. It is also an opportunity for him to prove to everyone that his boxing stint isn't a fluke as he tries to carve an upset victory against the unbeaten boxing icon.
