Francis Ngannou is a fighter that's very serious about making the transition over to boxing. The UFC heavyweight champion even says he wants his new contract to include boxing. Michael Bisping isn't so sure that it's a good idea.

Francis Ngannou has ungodly power and has shown that he is capable of knocking anyone out. The UFC champion has always wanted to test that power in boxing.

Michael Bisping recently addressed the topic on his YouTube channel. The former UFC middleweight champion isn't convinced that Francis Ngannou's skill set will translate well to boxing.

“The man is absolutely terrifying and hits ridiculously hard. However, against a boxer, you couldn’t do that because when he swings he leaves a lot of openings. Hey listen, if he catches him god blessed because you are fucked. You know there’s no reason why he couldn’t knock out these boxers but he’d have to catch them first and I don’t know if he could, okay.”

There are a lot of factors for UFC fighters to think about if they ever cross over into the boxing ring. The gloves alone are a big factor as they offer more protection and have a lot more padding than MMA gloves.

Michael Bisping brings up some interesting points for Francis Ngannou should he leave MMA. The UFC champion would have to change his style in order to find success.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Francis Ngannou's UFC contract. He may be able to negotiate a way to also be able to compete in boxing.
