After the biggest debut in the WWE Universe in a very, very, very long time, with Uncle Howdy and the Wyatt Sick6 running roughshod on producers, talent, and Chad Gable in Gorilla position after the show, fans, pundits, and legends alike celebrated the encounter, all the while paying tribute to the man who made it possible, Bray Wyatt.
One such fan of the “Eater of Worlds?” Well, that would be Mika Rotunda, the younger sister of both Wyatt and Howdy/Bo Dallas, who took to social media to share not only a celebration for her middle brother but also a loving tribute to her late brother as well.
Windham talked a lot about hurting in his character. He would describe real life pain and scenarios as a way to kind of harden, inspire or shape his future. He turned pain into a positive, through creativity and expression.
Last night, Taylor debuted for the first time as Uncle Howdy, without Windham. This was their dream, their vision. Their fairytale to fulfill. He carried this on his back. But more importantly in his heart. As siblings, we’ve always had a strong cord attachment to one another. As the lights when out in the arena and I watched from my TV, my pulse raised. My eyes welled. I felt every ioata with him. While also feeling this warmth, that can only be described as Windham. I’m so incredibly proud of Taylor.
Honoring the memory of a Windham or a loved one while navigating the path of grief is a profound and personal journey. Our family has been on a stage with the outside world to see inside it since 3:33pm on August 24th. A moment in time we as a family will never get past or over. But, somehow— we have to find a way through it.
How does one do that?
In my opinion, It’s in our day to day lives. And creating ways to celebrate their life and legacy, even as we cope with the pain of their absence.
For Windham, it’s in story telling. He was the greatest story teller I’ve ever known. And as we embrace the moments of sorrow, there is a duty to uphold. To keep finding ways to express his madness and genius.
In doing so, it is a testament from our family about the the depth of his love. And our love for him.
Upholding Windham’s homage can be a source of comfort and strength. We hurt. We heal.
In doing so, we keep their spirit alive and find solace in the impact they had on our lives. —
Also, massive, gigantic and amazing praise to @robfee11 and @bakingjason for doing the alchemy behind the scenes. Unreal. You guys are!
Windham, Wish you were here.
Love you more
One of the few members of the greater Rotunda family who didn't get into the family business in a meaningful way, Rotunda was one of the presenters for her father and uncle at the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame, giving a touching speech alongside her brother that left nary a dry eye in the room. No matter how the Wyatt Sick6 shakes out, it's clear this means a lot not just to Dallas but to the rest of the Rotunda family, too.
Sami Zayn didn't see Uncle Howdy and the Wyatt Sick6 on RAW.
While the WWE Universe is still very confused about what happened at the end of RAW, with NXT providing very little insight into the situation despite being official WWE programming, curious parties, in this case, the fine folks over at Sportsnet, had to go to the source to find out if Chad Gable and company were, well, dead.
Unfortunately, the guest they found to ask the question to, the reigning Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, didn't actually know what happened, as he'd left the building in Corpus Christi a few minutes before all h*ll broke loose in the WWE locker room.
“Yeah, so, I actually didn’t even know that happened because I left the arena right after my thing was done,” Sami Zayn explained on Sportsnet via Fightful. “So, maybe five or ten minutes before all that stuff happened on Monday Night RAW, I had no idea, and I left the arena, and I didn’t look at the results of what happened or anything. Then, I get to my hotel, and I tweet out the presale code for my comedy show, and all of the replies from the fans are like, ‘Your co-workers have been killed; what are you doing tweeting out the comedy show?'”
Did Sami actually leave the venue a few short minutes before the “massacre” took place? Debatable, but even if he was watching the show in the locker room with the living remains of the WWE Universe, it's understandable that he wouldn't know what happened, as it's safe to assume Creative is keeping that one very close to the vest, indeed.
