Baseball is a game of failure. Even the best players only get a hit in 3 out of every 10 at-bats. Former MVP and current Milwaukee Brewers' veteran Andrew McCutchen has certainly dealt with his share of struggles over the past few weeks. McCutchen was previously mired in an 0-32 slump at the plate.
So it wasn't surprising to see a look of pure relief on his face after snapping out of his slump with a clutch walk-off single for the Brewers on Thursday.
hey Siri, what does relief look like?

The Brewers' star commented on the moment after the game.
Article Continues Below“I was smiling before it happened, because sometimes when it comes to baseball you can just feel things if you’ve been around the game enough. I could just feel that energy, you know? I knew that having that opportunity, I was like, ‘This is going to happen.' You just knew it was going to happen.”
Andrew McCutchen also chalked up his previous slump to bad luck.
“I think I’ve battled, had good at-bats and for the most part my pitch recognition has been good. There’s a difference between unlucky and struggling, right? Struggling is, for me, when you’re overly aggressive, you’re not seeing the ball, you’re swinging at pitches you don’t want to swing at consistently. But I can say I’m unlucky.”
That has to be a welcomed statement for Brewers fans. McCutchen is one of their most important players and he seems to understand why he has been laboring at the plate. This walk-off hit could lead to a hot streak for McCutchen and the Brewers.
