With their very strong start to the season, the Boston Celtics have turned a lot of heads and some of their doubters into believers. They have received a lot of praise for how they play as a team, even with a number of new faces and abruptly losing an integral piece in Gordon Hayward.
Even Steve Kerr thinks highly of the Celtics.
The Golden State Warriors head coach gave a lot of credit to Brad Stevens for how he coaches the Celtics, and also to their key players who have all contributed to their success so far this season. He also mentioned, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic, that he’s looking forward to facing them on Thursday in the matchup of two title favorites this season.

“They’re all on a string,” Kerr said. “They play off each other really well. They’re really sound and they’re motivated. It’s a team that’s been on the rise the last couple years, lost in the conference finals. They want to win a championship. And it looks like, even without Gordon Hayward and that awful injury, Boston is just crushing people. So it’s going to be really fun to go against them on Thursday. We know how tough it’s going to be.”

The Celtics prevailed yet again Tuesday over the Brooklyn Nets, extending their winning streak to 13 games. They also improved their record to 13-2 for the season, good for first overall. However, they will face a huge test when they collide with the Warriors in a game that could serve as a barometer for Boston.

There are some factors that will work in their favor though, as Kyrie Irving has returned to action following the minor facial fracture he suffered last week, and they will also enjoy home court advantage on the night. It’s expected that millions of fans around the world will tune in to watch the game as it will feature some of biggest names and two of the most exciting teams in the NBA today.
