After the team's head coach, Steve Kerr, hinted last week about his chances of making the Golden State Warriors‘ final roster, it now has become a reality for JaVale McGee.

The 7-foot-center put in a lot of work during training camp which has helped him secure the 15th and final roster spot on the team. With this development, the team now has a back-up center that is capable of changing a lot of shots in the paint with his shot-blocking ability.

McGee is expected to play behind starter Zaza Pachulia and provide quality minutes off the bench. He also sees this as an opportunity for him to resurrect his career with the hopes of dropping the “Shaqtin' A Fool MVP” label placed on him following his questionable decisions and mishaps on the court over the past couple of years.

At only 28 years of age, the Nevada product still has a lot left in the tank and has even had soem playoff experience.

His career averages may seem pedestrian, but it's impressive considering the limited minutes he's played. His 8.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game were done in just 19.2 minutes per game. With the lineup the Warriors have, it will be hard to imagine him playing anywhere close to that number, but what can be expected of McGee is for him to shine on the defensive end and give his best to contribute to his team who's eyeing a championship this season.
