Sometimes, it seems that Steph Curry‘s tricks are too incredible to be real.

Unfortunately, that proved to be true after the Warriors’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night.

It was an incredible move, and Curry somehow slid past both the Timberwolves and the referees with his smooth ball handling. But the move was actually just a well-disguised double-dribble, one that occurred so quickly that it was impossible to notice its illegality in real time.

The referees reviewed the play after the game, and released an apology for the mistake. But they still took time to congratulate Curry on yet another mind-boggling show of skill with the ball.
