The Golden State Warriors held off the Cleveland Cavaliers to claim their second NBA title in the last three years.

This has immediately placed a high level of expectations upon what could potentially lie in front of the Warriors over the next several seasons with their current core group in place. In light of that, Stephen Curry is quite confident that there is much to come.

The Warriors were a dominating force in the playoffs nearly finishing with an unblemished record while finishing with the best mark in league history at 16-1 with a .941 winning percentage. They were a well-oiled offensive machine throughout the postseason behind their four All-Stars.

Durant may have been the unanimous NBA Finals MVP, but Curry also performed at an elite level averaging 26.8 points with 9.4 assists, and 8.0 rebounds per game. He recorded a double-double in each contest including his first triple-double in the playoffs.

Although Curry and Durant are both set to become free agents this upcoming summer, the duo is expected to ink long-term deals to stay with the Warriors. Klay Thompson has two more years left on his four-year, $68.9 million contract and Draymond Green has three more seasons remaining on his five-year, $82 million deal.

The only serious questions that linger about the team are Steve Kerr‘s long-term healthy dealing with persistent pain stemming from back surgery and whether Andre Iguodala will re-sign this upcoming offseason. Aside from that, this could indeed be the beginning of a potential dynasty.
