The Golden State Warriors may now be leading 3-0 in their Western Conference Semifinals matchup against the Utah Jazz after another win on Saturday, but not everyone from their team had a good game.
Outside of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, no other starter scored in double figures on the night. Their reliable scorer, Klay Thompson, only managed to make one of his nine field goal attempts, and finished with six points. However, their role players stepped up and scored timely baskets to help the Dubs secure the victory.
One of those rule players is Zaza Pachulia, who had seven points and four rebounds. His stat line may not be eye-popping, but the team took notice of him scoring more than Thompson with a few postgame jokes.

Curry on Pachulia (7 pts) scoring more than Thompson (6): "That's a great stat. We'll have to give him a cake at dinner or something."

Despite his pedestrian numbers, the 33-year-old Georgian international still has decent averages of 6.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in seven games this postseason. He also continues to give his team quality minutes and understands his role well.
If there's any good news for Thompson even with his subpar performance, it's that his teammates had an opportunity to contribute more and fill the void he left. It also sends a strong message to the rest of the competition that the Warriors can still win despite an off night from one of their All-Stars.
