Despite the Cleveland Cavaliers putting forth their best performance of the NBA Finals in Game 3 on Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors were able to respond by squeezing out a critical win to grab a commanding 3-0 series lead.

This was made possible behind some late-game heroics from Kevin Durant, who scored his team's final eight points in the last minute as part of an 11-0 run. During the biggest moment of that spurt, Durant hit a 3-pointer in the face of LeBron James to give the Warriors an 114-113 lead with just over 40 seconds left to which Stephen Curry had a hilarious reaction.

It was a huge moment in the game that shifted all the momentum to the Warriors after the Cavaliers had held control for much of the fourth quarter. Durant's big bucket completely erased a late six-point deficit while silencing any hope that Cleveland had in getting back in the series.

Durant has been playing like the MVP of the NBA Finals averaging 34.0 points on 56.1 percent shooting from the field and 52.4 percent from beyond the arc. In fact, he has scored at least 30 points while shooting better than 53.0 percent from the field in each of the first three contests.

Meanwhile, Curry is averaging a near triple-double with 28.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game. He was also a huge offensive factor in Game 3 recording a double-double with 26 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

The Warriors will have an opportunity to close out the series on Friday night and become the first undefeated team in the playoffs in NBA history.
