Despite trailing by five points at the end of the third quarter of Game 3, the Golden State Warriors remained poised on the road and managed to keep within striking distance of the reigning champions Cleveland Cavaliers, delivering said strike with 45 seconds left in the game with a Kevin Durant three-point dagger that sealed a come-from-behind win and a 3-0 lead in the series.

Wednesday night's game was the closest of the NBA Finals thus far, and despite a huge amount of pressure to likely sweep the Cavs in this series, the Warriors chipped at Cleveland's lead in the form of an 11-0 run to close out the game.

Asked about the overall mood between players in the fourth quarter, point guard Stephen Curry assured his teammates' confidence never faltered.

“There was no panic. It was kind of peaceful, really,” Curry told reporters post-game.

That inner peace showed thoroughly as Durant delivered a swift jump shot down the stretch — no play call — just dribbling down the court and soaring with the utmost confidence, following through with ease over the outstretched arm of LeBron James, who was late to close out on the Durant's transition jumper.

Golden State will need this same calmness about them for another roaring outing in Game 4 at Quicken Loans Arena, where both teams will face once again on Friday at 9 p.m. EST.
