A pair of “Oakland Strong” shoes worn by Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry during the team's Dec. 15 matchup against the New York Knicks have sold on eBay on Friday for $30,101 — the most for an active player.

Money raised from this pair along with a pair Curry wore before the game during warm ups — which sold for $15,100 — will go to the Oakland Fire Relief Fund.

The fund started after 36 people died in the Oakland fire earlier this month at the Ghostship warehouse, the deadliest fire incident in the city's history.

Aside from Curry's signature, the game-worn shoes have the initials of each victim on them on the heel, symbolic of the event and the importance of every person and the family who lost loved ones in the fire.

Before the end of the auction, the fund had raised $547,096 toward a goal of $550,000 — thanks in part to $50,000 donations each made by the Oakland-based teams — the Warriors, the Oakland A's and the Oakland Raiders.

Prior to this pair, the record for a pair of shoes bought of a currently active NBA player was a pair of LeBron James shoes from 2005, that sold last December for $28,651.

The most that's been previously paid for a pair of Curry shoes were a pair of 2014 playoff used shoes sold last December for $10,780. The most spent for a Curry item was a game-worn jersey from last year's playoffs, which sold in May for $39,000.

The highest price ever paid for a pair of game-used shoes of an NBA player was the $104,765 paid in 2013 for Michael Jordan‘s “Flu Game” shoes.
