A Stephen Curry game-worn jersey from Game 3 of the NBA Finals sold Thursday night for $135,060, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell.
The price is a record for a game-worn item auctioned by the NBA. The prior record was a $100,040 sum paid in 2016 for the jersey Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant wore in his final All-Star Game.
Among the other game-worn jerseys sold by the league from that same game were Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James‘ for $92,020, Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant‘s for $71,260, and Andre Iguodala‘s for $31,706.

The shot sealed a 3-0 series lead for the Warriors and is hailed as Durant's biggest shot of his 10-year NBA career.
The Warriors' acquisition had 14 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter while Curry had 26 points and 13 rebounds in a symbolic Game 3 win. Yet the demand on Curry's jersey auction shows that a lot of times it is about a player's charisma and popularity which drives the numbers, more so that the actual symbolic meaning of a game-worn item.
Curry had the top-selling jersey for the second consecutive season, being in the top five for three straight since Golden State's 2014-15 championship season.
