Through the Golden State Warriors‘ dominant run through the playoffs has featured Stephen Curry playing a huge part of their success on the court.

The strong play of the two-time reigning MVP has caught the eye of head coach Steve Kerr, who believes that Curry is playing at a higher level this time around, according to Marcus Thompson of The Mercury News.

Through the first 14 games in the playoffs, Curry is averaging 28.8 points on 49.6 percent shooting from the field and 43.4 percent from beyond the arc. He has also been a major factor through the first two games averaging 30.0 points, 10.5 assists, and 8.0 rebounds per game. This includes posting his first career triple-double in Game 2, which is just the second time for a Warriors player in the playoffs in team history

It's a completely different story from a year ago on this stage of the playoffs as averaged 22.6 points on 40.3 percent shooting from the field. He wasn't completely healthy in the NBA Finals last year as he was dealing with some lingering effects from a knee injury earlier in the playoffs.

Curry's performance has also benefited from the presence of Kevin Durant, who is averaging a team-high 35.5 points in the first two games of the season. All in all, the play of these two former league MVPs has the Warriors in the position to earn another NBA title.
