It's an exciting time for Jared Goff, the University of California star who went number one overall in this year's NFL draft to the recently relocated Los Angeles Rams. To make things even more exciting, he's a Northern California-native and is getting in on the Kevin Durant hype as much as anyone in Warriors Nation.

Goff recently sat down for an interview with Warriors World, and their conversation included the 2013-14 NBA MVP joining the Bay Area team. When Goff was asked for his “input” on KD as a “lifelong Warriors fan,” the young quarterback replied:

“Man, I am very excited obviously. I think it’s going to be great for the team. It can’t hurt, he’s one of the top three players in the league and can score. I think he is going to provide exactly what the Warriors need… I got woke up to “he’s coming; he’s coming.” It was pretty exciting.”

The top draftee also spoke about running into to Warriors players in the area:

“I lived in Berkeley when I went to Cal and I know (Steph Curry) was over there quite a bit playing golf and people would see him all the time. I haven’t met him. I have met Draymond (Green), I have met (Andre) Iguodala and I’ve met Klay (Thompson). Steph is one of the guys I haven’t met yet.”

Goff also named Green as his favorite basketball player and said he hopes to have “the accuracy of Curry” transferred to the football field.
