The Golden State Warriors have gone 0-2 since Stephen Curry re-re-re-re-injured his right ankle this season, despite an otherworldly effort by fellow star Kevin Durant, who has put up a whopping 116 points in the last three games.
Curry played only the opening two minutes against the San Antonio Spurs, rolling his ankle on Dejounte Murray's shoe after stuttering to land following a layup attempt.
The Warriors were quick to rule him out for the game, which they survived thanks to a blistering fourth-quarter performance by Durant to net them the win.
The next two games, against the Portland Trail Blazers and the Minnesota Timberwolves, proved all the more difficult, struggling to find their groove without their offensive engine on the hardwood.

“It's weird not having Steph out there,” Durant said after the recent loss against the Timberwolves on Sunday. “And Andre [Iguodala] and D-West, Jordan [Bell], so we're missing a lot, and we're just kind of playing on the fly each possession.”
Durant remained optimistic despite the two consecutive losses, hoping it will all be pieced back together with the impending return of his All-Star point guard.
“We lost two in a row, but the energy on the bench was great, the coaching staff has been digging down deep trying to find things for us that will work because our offense is predicated on Steph and Klay [Thompson] kind of running around the 3-point line, knocking down 3-point shots and spreading out.
Thompson has struggled in his own right without Curry, shooting below 50 percent from the field in the last three games and only 8-of-24 from deep in that stretch.
