With the first official draft officially in the books for the 2018 NBA All-Star Game, the consensus has made it clear that Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James' team is the heavy favorite going in. Needless to say, Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry has taken offense to the early projections.
James' squad boast a bevy of the most physically-gifted athletes in the NBA. However, Curry feels his team also has its own advantages coming into the inaugural showdown, according to Rosalyn Gold-Onwude of NBA on TNT:
“We have a lot of shooters, and I like that people are sleeping on us,” Curry said Thursday. “I like being the underdog.”
Fans were surprised to see both players take such an approach in the first-ever All-Star draft. However, their picks could not have been more reminiscent of each star's style of play.

James is regarded as the most freakish athlete to ever pick up a basketball. As a result, he assembled a team of guys not only known for their physical prowess, but dynamic skill sets as well. That said, it is not often where “The King” is smaller than half the players on his team.
Meanwhile, Curry — who is already considered the greatest shooter in league history — selected a crew of fellow sharpshooters. Outside of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, every player on his roster is more than capable of hitting the three. It goes without saying that the “Greek Freak” likely gets a pass considering he may arguably be the most explosive player on the floor at any given time. Furthermore, it seems Curry's crew now has a bit of chip on their shoulder going into the matchup.
