Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry's moon landing-themed shoes will be auctioned off to raise money for Bay Area STEM education programs.
Per Bleacher Report, below is a closer look of the “Moon Landing” Curry 6, which the sharpshooter wore on Thursday against the Houston Rockets:

The shoes were borne out of Curry's claim on a podcast that man hadn't landed on the moon. Curry would later say that he was obviously joking when he uttered his claims. Nevertheless, the story went viral and Curry was turned into a laughingstock for some time. He even got an invite from NASA for an informational tour of the Johnson Space Center.
“One of the most effective ways to set our children up for success is to ensure they receive excellent STEM education,” Curry told ESPN. “Ayesha and I are passionate about making sure that STEM education is accessible and available to all children in the Bay Area.”
This is the third straight season that Stephen Curry has opted to donate his game-worn sneakers for a cause. In 2016, two pairs of custom-painted Curry 3s helped raise $45,201 for local victims of the Ghost Ship Warehouse Fire. Last season, Curry raffled off a handful of game-worn pairs to raise $31,740 for the Curry Family Foundation.
