The Golden State Warriors are set to take on the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 of their first-round series matchup on Saturday. As it is, the Dubs could be without superstar point guard Stephen Curry in what should be a tough test against Nikola Jokic and Co.

The Warriors have recently received an uplifting update on Curry's injury status with the playoffs just around the corner. According to Kendra Andrews of ESPN, Steph has been progressing well in his rehab:

Stephen Curry practiced in full today with the team. They didn’t scrimmage today, but went through shooting drills and skill work. Steve Kerr says Steph felt good after the workout. He looks on track to scrimmage tomorrow.

Curry has been dealing with a lingering foot injury that kept him out of the final few weeks of the regular season. The expectation was that he'd be back for the playoffs but right now, this is anything but guaranteed.

This recent update bodes well for Curry's status for Game 1 against the Nuggets on Saturday but at the moment, it's still anyone's guess if Steph will be available or not. Thursday's scrimmage session will be an important step for the Warriors in terms of determining Curry's availability moving forward.
