Draymond Green was tossed unceremoniously during the first half of the Warriors-Grizzlies Game 1 matchup. Stephen Curry was not happy about it.

Green was assessed with a flagrant 2 penalty late in the second quarter after a hard foul on Memphis' Brandon Clarke. See the play for yourself below:

Both Green and Stephen Curry were unsurprisingly incensed by the decision. But with the Warriors pulling off the victory in the end, the incident became less consequential.

That didn't stop Steph Curry from expressing his disapproval for the call against his Warriors co-star after the game.

“I mean, it was a tough call obviously on the road just trying to start the series. You get a guy like Draymond headed to the locker room. It's not good for the game. I didn't think he deserved that, obviously,” said Steph Curry.

Golden State was able to use the halftime break shortly after to regroup and come out in the second half ready to play without their defensive talisman. Their efforts were just enough to squeak out a 1-point win.

We got a little emotional rise out of it. Trying to stay locked in. Deal with the circumstances and give ourselves a chance to win. We obviously did that in the second half. But yeah, that was definitely tough,” the Warriors star continued.

Draymond Green's reputation definitely precedes him for scenarios such as this one. Unfair or not, he knows that, too. Look for the Warriors star to be extra cautious for the rest of the series so as not to jeopardize their chances at another run at the title.
