Stephen Curry is not going anywhere as he was inked to a four-year $215 million extension by the Golden State Warriors.

The superstar made history as he will be the first player in league history to sign multiple contracts of $200 million or higher. The $54 million annual average value is also the highest in NBA history. It is worth noting that the Warriors will be paying a 37-year old Curry almost $60 million on the final year of his contract.

For the Warriors, extending Curry was an easy choice to make as he was responsible for making them relevant again. The team increased its five-year valuation by 147%  and is now valued at $4.7 billion. making them the sixth most valuable team in the sporting world, per Forbes.

But despite Curry's efforts for the Warriors, rival executives have been questioning ESPN's Zach Lowe on whether the rich extension will become a liability for the Dubs. However, Lowe was quick to respond that extension was a no-brainer.

Multiple rival executives asked me if Curry's new mega-extension could become a liability on the back end.

Hogwash. Who even cares? Everything that has happened to the Warriors — the titles, the quadrupling (at least) in team valuation, the new arena, record-breaking revenues — all starts with Curry, None of it happens without him.

Pay him everything.

The Warriors would not pass this opportunity up as Curry is a future Hall of Famer and is a once-in-a-genaration talent. Steph broke and also made a lot of history with the Dubs, the seven-time NBA All-Star was voted the first unanimous MVP and won three NBA Championships with Golden State.

Curry is a must-see star as he changed the approach to how basketball is played nowadays. Once considered a bad and low percentage shot, the 3-pointer is now considered the main weapon in all of the offensive schemes.

Arguably the greatest shooter in the history of basketball, Curry has career averages of 24.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.7 steals while shooting a blazing 43.3% from behind the arc.
