Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry uncharacteristically missed a fast-break layup. Lucky for him, new teammate Kelly Oubre Jr. was there for the rescue. Unfortunately, Curry had to be on the receiving end of a poster.

Though the Warriors lost to the Sacramento Kings in Tuesday's preseason game, it was a good showing for the new-look Warriors. In the 114-113 defeat, Curry led all scorers with 29 points, as well as four rebounds, and four assists. Oubre had 12 points, five rebounds, and one assist.

Last week, Curry expressed his admiration for Oubre Jr. The two-time MVP knows that Oubre has moved from team to team in his young NBA career. Most players read this as being unwanted. As such, Curry believes that Oubre is hungry to prove that his former teams were wrong in letting him go.

With Klay Thompson out for the season, analysts expect Oubre to get a lot of playing time this season. His aggressiveness on both ends of the floor, his reliable stroke, and improving basketball IQ will be his main assets this year. Hopefully, this will be enough to help the Warriors return to title contention.
