James Harden is having another MVP-worthy season this year, and it's not that close. He is averaging 31.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game. Alongside of Chris Paul, the Rockets have developed into a viable championship contender out of the Western Conference and have their sights set for the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

While Paul has been great for the Rockets, Harden's play is what makes them unbeatable when the Rockets are clicking. His improved offense and play-making figures to be his calling card for his first MVP award, an award that he finished in second place two times in the last three years.

Stephen Curry, a two-time MVP, was is responsible for some of Harden's recent MVP snubs, but he had an hilarious response when a reporter asked him about the MVP race. Apparently, Curry didn't dignify the question with a full response, instead opting to laugh it off in a time when players are trying to get away from the NBA season and have some fun.

Curry isn't having a bad season himself. The 3-point sniper is averaging 26.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.5 assists. He is the leading scorer for the Warriors, despite the team having capable scorers such as Klay Thomspon and Kevin Durant. In fact, if it wasn't for Harden's amazing season, Curry would likely be one of the frontrunners in the MVP race. While Durant may be the best player on the Warriors, Curry is arguably more important. His ridiculous scoring from outside the arc has changed the way the NBA operates offensively and defensively. Therefore, Curry's season should not be taken for granted.

Still, Curry has to acknowledge Harden's incredible season one day. That day may be coming soon if the Warriors meet the Rockets in the postseason. However, for now, it's just all fun and games.
