The Milwaukee Bucks scored a 127-109 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night and it was thanks in large part to another dominant performance by reigning back-to-back league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
As it turns out, Giannis literally outscored the entire Blazers team in what is truly a ridiculous statistical anomaly (h/t ESPN Stats & Info on Twitter):

To be clear, Antetokounmpo did not outscore the entire Portland squad throughout the game. He did so from two-point range and the free-throw line combined.
The Blazers drained 21 triples on the evening, which accounted for roughly 58 percent of their total score. This in itself is a peculiar stat, but given how today's game has relied so heavily on the three-pointer, this does not come as an absolute shocker.
As for Giannis, he finished with a game-high 47 points on an insanely efficient 18-if-21 shooting, to go along with 12 rebounds, two assists, a steal, and three blocks. He also went 11-of-13 from the charity stripe, but he did miss all three of his attempts from deep. Needless to say, Antetokounmpo put up a commanding performance against Damian Lillard (32 points, five triples) and Co.
The Bucks return to action on Saturday in the second night of a back-to-back set. They take on the Sacramento Kings in what is the fourth game of an extended six-game Western Conference road trip. Giannis is listed as doubtful for that one due to a sore left knee so it looks like Milwaukee is going to give him a much-deserved night off.
