The entire basketball world witnessed Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Anthony Edwards punch his official entry to the dunk of the 2020-21 season, including Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

In case you missed it, Edwards caught the body of Toronto Raptors forward Yuta Watanabe that sent social media into a frenzy.

James, who probably fell out of his sofa while watching the 6-foot-4 athletic freak soar into the air and throw down the nasty poster. The King posted his reaction on his Instagram stories:

James isn't shy about showing some love to other players in the league, especially upcoming talents like Edwards. At 36, LeBron takes it upon himself to mentor and give some words of advice and encouragement to the younger generation, especially as he enters the last stretch of his career.

James gave Edwards his props when the 19-year old dropped a career-high 28 points in the Lakers' win over the Timberwolves earlier this week. It's also worth noting that Edwards and James are both signed with Klutch Sports, thus it's easy to see the connection between the two.

Edwards definitely made NBA Twitter explode following his dunk of the year candidate. However, the Atlanta, Georgia native didn't express much excitement over his dunk following the game since they ended up on the losing column. He also wasn't pleased with the way he played, as he shot just 3-of-14 from the field and clanked all of his seven triple tries.

While everyone is still talking about his insane throwdown, Edwards deserves more praise for how he saw his highlight reel in the grand scheme of things. The kid definitely has his mind in the right place and LeBron James would certainly be proud of his fellow Klutch client carries himself, even at such a young age.
