Bradley Beal has been on a tear this season for the Washington Wizards. Currently averaging 32.5 points, 4.6 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game, Beal is making a case for being considered the best shooting guard in the league right now. However, that all seems to come at a cost, as whenever he scores 40 or more points, the Wizards seem to lose that game.
In fact, Washington was on an 11 game losing streak whenever Beal scores 40 points. Finally, that horrendous streak snapped after the Wizards defeated the first-place Utah Jazz 131-122. Beal put up an impressive 43 points, giving the Wizards the edge they needed to earn the victory.
When asked about the 11 game losing streak coming to an end, Beal was quick with his response, per Fred Katz.

NBA players take a different approach to the game whenever they play. Some pay attention to the stat sheet and want to make sure they're stacking their numbers. On the other hand, some players, like Beal it seems, don't look at the stat sheet and just play to help their team win.
Beal's mentality is to win games, but it just so happens the Wizards constantly lose, which is of no fault to Beal at all. The Wizards shooting guard has a different mindset than most, showing some similarities to Portland Train Blazers star Damian Lillard. He wants to be loyal to the team that drafted him and win a championship with that specific organization.
It's not something we see much of in today's NBA anymore. Beal is different and deserves a better team around him. Let's hope the Wizards can provide that for him soon.
