Josh Allen has officially reached the NFL — again! Not to be confused with current Buffalo Bills starting quarterback Josh Allen, the former Kentucky Wildcats outside linebacker and 2019 NFL Draft prospect has been selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 7 overall.
A versatile defender, Allen will now attempt to make an immediate impact for the Jaguars, who obviously drafted the up-and-coming linebacker with this notion in mind.

He's fine-tuned a couple of go-to rush moves but will need to continue to diversify his rush portfolio as a pro. He's not a glass-chewer and doesn't always impose his will at the point of attack, but the tools to become dominant as a run defender and pass rusher are all at his disposal.”
Leading to his eventual rise up the 2019 NFL Draft boards, Allen notably went out on top upon leaving Kentucky for the professional ranks. In what would become his final go-round in Lexington, the soon-to-be rookie outside linebacker won both the Bednarik Award and Nagurski Trophy, thanks to his work as one of the top defensive players in the c0untry in 2018.
With Allen now officially off the board, the heralded SEC has added yet another talented player to the mix in the NFL.
