One of the top prospects for the upcoming NFL Draft will now be out for the foreseeable future. Michigan Wolverines linebacker David Ojabo suffered a torn Achilles at Pro Day.

Via Adam Schefter:

With the NFL Draft just over a month away, this is a huge blow for Ojabo. But as mentioned by Schefter, doctors believe he'll be able to recover within the six-month timeline just like Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers did.

Ojabo was a beast for Michigan this season and decided to enter the draft as a junior. He ran a 4.54 40-yard dash at the combine in early March and possesses a ton of athleticism at the edge rusher position. Ojabo is coming off a big campaign as well, finishing with 11 sacks and five forced fumbles alongside potential top pick in the NFL Draft, Aidan Hutchinson.

All 32 NFL organizations were at the Michigan Pro Day, with Steelers HC Mike Tomlin and Texans HC Lovie Smith among the attendees. The 21-year-old Ojabo has taken a unique path to football stardom as he was born in Nigeria but lived in Scotland for most of his life before coming to the US at 17 and starting to play the sport.

Given the scary injury, it's unlikely Davi Ojabo goes in the first round of the NFL Draft. Teams will be scared to take the chance, therefore he could slide to the second round or further.
