The Dallas Cowboys have moved on from the Tony Romo era and now have begun the rebuilding process with surprisingly good results with Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott leading the way. Although there was a lot of uncertainty where the storied franchise would be headed without Romo under center, the team seems to be on the right track and owner Jerry Jones couldn't be happier about their direction.
Jones recently talked about the future of the Cowboys and how he likes what he sees. Although the playoff may ultimately be out of the question this season, Jones is excited about the future in Dallas, via Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk.

Certainly I think our receiving corps is getting much more acclimated with and all of this look great. And certainly on defense I think we have improved the last two years. We have really improved with players who are at junctures in their careers, career development that are going to have us a better defense. So, I like what we look at. I just want to look at now. I want to look at this week. Let’s have some good things happen that is in our control, and that is in the ball game and then maybe we can get a little help.”
With one of the best quarterback-running back duos in the NFL, Jones has every reason to be excited about the team's future. Prescott and Elliott have shown a lot of promise in their first two seasons and could be wearing the iconic star on their helmets for many years to come as a result.
In Week 16, the Cowboys will go up against the Seattle Seahawks in a matchup will determine their fate in the postseason. If Dallas loses, they'll be eliminated from playoff contention.
