Following a disappointing season that saw the Dallas Cowboys miss the playoffs despite preseason Super Bowl aspirations, owner Jerry Jones made it clear that changes would be made to both the roster and the coaching staff. While it remains to be seen what Dallas does with Dez Bryant's contract as well as a talented group of impending free agents, Jones wasted no time moving on from a pair of assistant coaches.

Per Mac Engel of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram:

The Dallas Cowboys have informed long time quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson and secondary coach Joe Baker that they will not return for the 2018 season, according to team sources.

Wilson became Dallas' QB coach in 2007 when Wade Phillips was still the head coach, but Jason Garrett retained him through this season. Engel stated that Wilson was well-liked in the organization, but moving forward they just wanted a new voice with a new personality to work with Prescott as he develops.

Baker joined the Cowboys in 2012 and worked three separate roles during his six-year tenure (all in the secondary).

Engel reported that Dallas will also need to find a new special teams coach with Rich Bisaccia expected to join Jon Gruden's staff with the Oakland Raiders, and passing game coordinator/linebackers coach Matt Eberflus could leave for a promotion as well.
