It was a roller-coaster 2017 season for Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay, to say the least. However, former Detroit wideout and current NFL analyst Nate Burleson has a bold prediction regarding Golladay's future.
The rookie largely served as Detroit's third option at wide receiver this season. However, Burleson feels Golladay has what it takes to become a No. 1 WR in the league, according to Tim Twentyman of the team's official website:

“It's the perfect position to be in,” he said. “You have two guys ahead of you that are taking all the attention and teams are game planning for. Golladay can go in and really shock the world if he can just stay healthy, be patient, take advantage, don't rock the boat.”
Burleson's opinion certainly carries a lot of weight, not just as an analyst, but as an 11-year NFL veteran. Not to mention the last four seasons of his career were spent playing in Detroit.
Golladay kicked off the season with a bang after registering four catches for 69 yards and two touchdowns in his professional debut. Unfortunately, he was unable to capitalize on his stellar performance the rest of the season, as he finished with just 48 receptions for 477 yards and three touchdowns.
However, it seems Golladay's skill set as a playmaker has caught the eye of those in and around the Lions organization. As a result, there is plenty of promise surrounding the former third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
