Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are set for a massive showdown with Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. It is a matchup that could decide the NFC North division winner and the Packers have to be feeling pretty good heading into this Week 16 contest.

Coming into this week's matchup, the Packers are 11-3 on the season, while the Vikings are 10-4. Green Bay holds a one-game lead on the Vikings and they also were able to defeat them in the first matchup between the two NFC contenders earlier this season.

It is going to be a very entertaining game to watch for fans who love offense. Both Rodgers and Cousins have been playing at a high level and both Aaron Jones and Dalvin Cook have been top-notch running backs. The defenses have potential, but neither team's defense has found consistency.

Matt LaFleur and Mike Zimmer are going to be locked into a chess match. Whoever makes the right play calls down the stretch and whichever team takes care of the football better will win this game.

All of that being said, let's dive in and take a look at four reasons why the Packers will come up with the win this week.

4. Dalvin Cook's Health Is A Major Factor

One of the biggest question marks surrounding the Vikings heading into this week's game is the health of star running back Dalvin Cook. He has dealt with injuries over the last couple of weeks and was knocked out of the game against the Los Angeles Chargers after re-injuring his shoulder.

Going up against the Packers is going to be a tough task. Green Bay has done a good job for most of the season when they focus on shutting down the run. Cook had a big game against the Packers the first time around, however, but he isn't at 100 percent and that will help Green Bay.

3. Kirk Cousins' Track Record In Big Prime-Time Games

Minnesota has loved what they have seen from quarterback Kirk Cousins so far this season. He has gone from being one of the most criticized quarterbacks in the NFL to being a fringe MVP candidate. On the season, Cousins has completed 70.5 percent of his pass attempts for 3,481 yards, 25 touchdowns, and just five interceptions.

Unfortunately, Cousins still has some work to do to turn his track record in prime-time games around. He has struggled in big games on big stages and that is exactly what this week will be.

2. The Bend But Don't Break Defense

Let's talk about the Green Bay defense for a minute. While they have had a lot of consistency issues and they have given up pretty big numbers at times, they have done a good job of not breaking at the end of drives.

A lot of the time, the Packers will allow a team to march down the field on them, only to end up with a field goal. Mike Pettine has been proud of his defense for being that kind of unit. If they can continue doing so this week, the Vikings are going to have a hard time outscoring the Packers' offense.

1. Aaron Rodgers, Enough Said

Speaking of the Green Bay offense, Rodgers has been an MVP candidate for a big portion of the season as well. Obviously, no one is going to beat out Lamar Jackson, but Rodgers has been much better than the media has given him credit for.

Rodgers has completed 63.3 percent of his passes for 3,463 yards, 24 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. He has done a great job of taking care of the football and the offensive line is giving him a lot more time than he has had in recent years. Anytime a team has a quarterback like Rodgers, they have a chance, and Rodgers will power Green Bay to a massive win and the NFC North title.
