The Green Bay Packers have been one of the hottest teams in the NFL this season. After their brutal blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 1, they've ripped off six consecutive victories and look every bit the Super Bowl contender that they were last season.
But with a marquee matchup against the undefeated Arizona Cardinals looming, the Packers are going to be without Davante Adams. The All-Pro wide receiver was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list, which is for players who either tested positive or were in contact with someone who did. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Adams did indeed test positive for Covid-19.
Aaron Rodgers was bombarded with questions on Adams, whose loss for their Thursday Night Football tilt would obviously be massive.
#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers said even though WR Davante Adams has not been relied upon as much as earlier in the season, the game plan will be very diiferent Thursday night with him out. "Definitely it's altered," Rodgers said.

The Packers QB confirmed that his own status was not in jeopardy over any contact with Adams. But another wideout in Lazar Hayward was also ruled out after being placed on the list alongside Adams. It's not clear whether he also tested positive.
Is Aaron Rodgers concerned at all about himself considering Davante Adams was placed on the COVID list?
Rodgers: "No."

But based on the Packers' record without Davante Adams in recent seasons, they've been able to endure his absence better than most would expect. Green Bay is a perfect 6-0 in games without their star receiver. Aaron Rodgers was asked about the factoid and immediately shut down any Ewing theory talk that they're better without him.
Aaron Rodgers on how the Packers have gone 6-0 without Davante Adams the last two years:
“I don’t know. We’re not a better team without him, that’s for sure… We just found a way in each of those games.”
Rodgers added he was not concerned about his own status for Thursday. pic.twitter.com/6xK02Xq0vu

The Packers will have to try and push that narrative nonetheless, as they attempt to deal the Cardinals their first loss of the season.
