Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams were up to their normal shenanigans in Week 3 as they torched the San Francisco 49ers time and again. The quarterback – wide receiver duo for the Green Bay Packers connected 12 times for 132 yards on 18 targets from Rodgers to Adams in the win.

On Wednesday, as Adams keeps topping the charts for many as one of, if not the top receivers in football, Rodgers chimed in on what makes the WR1 for the Packers so good.

Adams has mentioned his craft pertaining to his footwork numerous times over the years as one of the reasons he keeps improving. Rodgers saying Adams is in the pursuit of perfection shouldn't come as a surprise to many as it's that grind that often separates the greats from the average players in professional sports.

Rodgers and Adams are both in a unique spot with the Packers with their futures beyond this year relatively unknown.

The reigning MVP had his disagreements with the front office leaked this summer and it's possible this is the last year for Rodgers with the Packers. Adams is playing on a contract set to expire after the two sides couldn't come to terms on a deal this offseason.

Regardless of what lies ahead, the Packers have a legitimate chance to bring the Lombardi Trophy home this year. After a perplexing Week 1 outing, Green Bay has pulled out two wins in a row and look to be right back on track. With Rodgers and Adams healthy, the Packers will always have a shot.
