There have been plenty of rumors and speculation when it comes to Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Another early playoff exit has fueled rumors that perhaps Rodgers would leave, though while still playing at a high level, the veteran quarterback could also consider retirement at the age of 38.
During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers' Packers teammate and friend David Bakhtiari spoke on the possibility of the star QB retiring.
"The only person who knows what he's gonna do is him.. Aaron Rodgers is one of my best friends & I can't fathom him retiring" ~@DavidBakhtiari#PatMcAfeeShowLIVE pic.twitter.com/s0Mqq6zYq1

Bakhtiari certainly acknowledges that the Packers star retiring could happen but made it clear that he can't “fathom” that happening, given Rodgers' competitiveness. Bakhtiari summed it up well, saying that the only person who knows what Rodgers is going to do is Rodgers himself.
Of course, if Bakhtiari knew Rodgers was retiring or returning to the Packers, he wouldn't reveal it. That said, it would be pretty shocking to see Rodgers walking away, especially given the MVP-level he's playing at.
There's also the motivation for Rodgers to get back to the big game and prove the doubters, who say he falls short in the postseason, wrong.
As David Bakhtiari said, no one but Aaron Rodgers knows what he's going to do this offseason, However, to see the Packers star potentially retire would be stunning, to say the least.
