The Green Bay Packers have been in the spotlight a lot since the 2022 NFL Offseason began. Tuesday, Aaron Rodgers spoke on the Pat McAfee Show after posting a possible retirement tease to Instagram. Rodgers said he wasn't making any decisions or announcements on his future, but he did mention the recent cleanse he completed.
Now, the Packers seem to be focused on clearing up cap space. For who, who knows. The franchise restructured nose tackle Kenny Clark's contract, reducing the 2022 cap by $10.892 million. Packers salary cap analyst Ken Ingalls tweeted the news Wednesday morning.

As Ingalls noted, the Packers are the current leader in the league with $28.615 million in dead cap. However, if Green Bay can effectively restructure more contracts this offseason as they did with Clark, they should be in good shape.
The goal appears to be keeping franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers and star wide receiver, DaVante Adams, on the Green Bay roster. Both players have been crucial to the success of the Packers in recent years, and both are considering employment elsewhere this offseason. If Green Bay can find a way to keep the offensive powerhouse duo together, it would be a huge win for the Packers front office.
