Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin didn't hold back in his criticism of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who was discovered to be unvaccinated after testing positive for COVID-19.
Back in August, Rodgers said that he has been “immunized,” which led people to believe he is vaccinated. After all, in his statement, he also said he's “not going to judge those guys” who refuse to get the COVID-19 vaccine shot.
All his remarks indicated that he has gotten the shot, easing the worries of fans and experts alike since unvaccinated players who test positive for COVID-19 will be sidelined for at least 10 days. Apparently, though, the Packers QB seemed to mislead the public with his statement since being “immunized” for him meant taking alternative, homeopathic treatments to fight the virus. Unfortunately, it's not the same as being vaccinated.
This development, of course, didn't please a lot of people. Irvin is one of those as he slammed Rodgers for not being direct with his vaccination status.

Because I know you did not hold out this whole offseason, holding everybody accountable and saying everybody is falling short and not doing what they’re supposed to do, and you’re not vaccinated? Come on man. Cut that mess out. That blows my mind.”
Michael Irvin's fiery response is understandable, especially with all the issues surrounding it.
It also came at the worst possible time, with the Packers set to play Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. What was expected to be an intense affair turned into a messy and tricky situation even before it started.
There's nothing the Packers and the fans can do now but be frustrated with the development. Hopefully, though, Green Bay and Kansas City still put up an interesting showdown despite the damper.
