It's been an absolutely bizarre offseason in the NFL so far and we still have the draft around the corner. One of the biggest moves we've seen was the Green Bay Packers trading Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders in a blockbuster deal. However, the former Green Bay offensive coordinator shares his thoughts on the trade.
According to Ryan Wood, Nathaniel Hackett was not that surprised by the Packers' decision to trade Davante Adams. Of course, Hackett had a little bit of an inside look during his time in Green Bay before taking the Denver Broncos' head coaching job. Perhaps this was something the entire franchise knew would happen one day.
Nathaniel Hackett was probably less surprised than you when #Packers traded Davante Adams. "I don’t know if it was necessarily surprising," Hackett said this morning. "You know that it was kind of up in the air. You didn’t know what was going to happen."

Even Aaron Rodgers doesn't seem that mad about the initial trade. After opting to return to Green Bay, many speculated he was upset after the Packers dished away his star receiver. Based on Hackett's reaction, then Rodgers likely understood that Adams was going out of the door anyway.
Regardless, the Packers are left with a massive hole at wide receiver and have yet to find a competent replacement. Maybe we'll see Green Bay reel in two receivers in the NFL Draft, similar to the Broncos taking Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler in back-t0-back rounds a couple of years ago.
We'll see how it all plays out, as the Packers hope to remain at the top of the NFC North. Things could get interesting though, as the Minnesota Vikings have made big moves to improve their roster this year.
