The Green Bay Packers are set to take on the Detroit Lions in a final week 18 matchup.

Green Bay has announced that they will not play Aaron Jones due to his knee, and inside linebacker De'Vondre Campbell due to his elbow. This is a smart decision for the Packers because they know that this game doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. They need everybody healthy for the playoffs. The Packers are currently the number one seed in the NFC and they will look to take care of business over the Lions in the final game to get themselves ready for the playoffs.

Green Bay has had some struggles in the playoffs the past few seasons which has resulted in some earlier exits than many anticipated and were hoping for. Whenever you have as much talent as the Packers do and have arguably the best quarterback of all time in Aaron Rodgers, anything short of a Super Bowl is always going to be a disappointment. This is the year that the Packers can certainly walk away with a Super Bowl because as we have seen throughout the entire year, they have been one of the most consistent and best teams in all of football.

It will be interesting to see how long or if the Packers do decide to play a lot of their starters. At the end of the day, they need to be healthy for the playoffs and a week 18 game doesn't really mean much to this team.
