Well, folks, as the old saying goes: the other shoe has just dropped. The NFL Draft hasn't even begun yet, and the first big move of the weekend might already be happening, as Aaron Rodgers has proactively stated that he no longer wishes to return to the Green Bay Packers.

This, of course, has huge implications on the upcoming draft, as multiple teams with quarterback needs will be jumping to grab at the yes, veteran, but reigning MVP. If you're not prepared for fireworks yet, take the advice of the rest of the NFL, and buckle up and pull up a chair, like J.J. Watt:

Patrick Mahomes in particular seems perfectly happy to sit pretty with his abundance of talent, weapons, money, and quality coaching, and is most likely going to enjoy the draft as a fan like the rest of us, regardless of whether the Packers trade Rodgers or not.

Now, what this means for teams around the NFL is up in the air. Aaron Rodgers is just as famous for his prickliness as he is for his otherworldly talent, and if the boring yet competent Green Bay Packers couldn't keep him satisfied, you can bet he won't let anything pass from a lesser organization.

His legacy with the Packers has been slightly damaged by this attitude, a not insubstantial injury history, and several lackluster years, so whoever takes him on needs to know what they're signing up for. But for now, at least, it's safe to say that whatever mock drafts anyone are poised to get absolutely thrown out the window. All we have to do is grab our popcorn and watch the show.
