“Minshew Mania” is returning to Jacksonville.

Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said Monday Gardner Minshew will be the team's starter under center in Week 15 against the Baltimore Ravens, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Minshew returned to action during Sunday's loss to the Tennessee Titans after missing five games due to a thumb injury. He completed 18-of-31 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown, also rushing twice for 22 yards.

The Jags struggled to generate consistent offense without Minshew under center. Jacksonville had under 300 yards of total offense in back-to-back losses against the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10 and Week 11, respectively.

Veteran backup Mike Glennon actually played fairly well in his first two starts after Jake Luton was benched, nearly leading the Jags to wins over the Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings.

But Glennon also had three turnovers against the Vikings, and he completed just 13 of his first 23 passes for a mere 85 yards against the Titans before giving way to Minshew.

The Jaguars are still in the running for the No. 1 overall pick, having gone winless since a stunning Week 1 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

Incidentally, Minshew returns just in time to face three of the tougher defenses in the league. Jacksonville plays the Baltimore Ravens on the road in Week 15 before taking on the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts in each of the final two games.

In some ways, the last three games could serve as a proving ground for Minshew as to why the Jaguars should place their trust in him as the franchise quarterback instead of selecting a Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields this upcoming spring.
