The Jacksonville Jaguars had a disappointing season as they finished off with a record of 6-10. However, their rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew played phenomenally as he showed flashes of star potential. According to Pro Football Focus, Minshew led the entire league in passer rating on throws 20+ yards downfield.

In addition, Minshew set multiple franchise records throughout his rookie season. He was the first rookie quarterback in Jaguars' history to throw for 900 or more yards in his first four games.
Minshew finished off his rookie season with 3,271 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and only six interceptions. However, his starting record wasn't impressive as he went 6-6 during the season.
Nonetheless, it's still uncertain if Minshew will be the starting quarterback for the Jaguars next season. Head coach Dough Marrone hasn't made a decision to start Minshew or nine-year veteran Nick Foles. Last season, Foles missed 12 games due to a broken clavicle injury. However, he's expected to healthy before the start of next season.

Minshew has already stated that he's going to be ready before the Jaguars get back to work this offseason.
Via Josh Alper of NBC Sports:

“I got two and a half months right now to work my tail off to be as ready as I can be for my team,” Minshew said. “We’ll show back up and I’m gonna try to prove I’m the best guy for my team and that I can help us win games. Anything beyond that is beyond my control.”

Despite the starting quarterback situation, Minshew and Foles have had a close relationship. Jacksonville will be seeking to make the playoffs next season for the first time in three years.
