Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew has taken the league by storm with his stellar play to start the 2019 NFL season. It seems even Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris has taken notice.

The Jaguars are coming off a solid win against the Tennessee Titans in Week 3. According to Jon Heath of the Broncos Wire, Harris does not plan on overlooking Minshew in Week 4:

“He looks solid,” Harris said Tuesday. “He’s definitely making a lot of plays for a rookie sixth-round pick, so we definitely have to be ready to play. He showed on Thursday night if you’re not ready he can beat you. They beat a quality team with the Titans last week, so we have to be ready to go.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Harris' comments. Minshew has emerged as one of the more pleasant surprises of the season thus far after being taken in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The rookie is now hoping to solidify his status as a bonafide starter in this league.

Minshew has now thrown for 692 yards, five touchdowns, and an interception while completing a stellar 73.9% of his passes. More importantly, he has shown the ability to come through when the Jaguars' offense is in desperate need of a big play.

It is for that reason that Minshew will no longer be sneaking up on anyone this season. Harris' comments indicate that the game plan is to make sure he is unable to find his footing throughout the course of their showdown.
