Cornerback Jalen Ramsey has requested a trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen. Per Schefter, “the Jaguars have spoken with interested teams, but there is no current plan to trade Ramsey.”

In the first half of Jacksonville's 13-12 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday, Ramsey got into an argument with head coach Doug Marrone. Ramsey was upset that Marrone didn't challenge a dropped catch that was ruled a reception. You can see below the cornerback making physical contact with the coach.

It didn't end there. Later on, CBS showed a video of Ramsey jawing with Marrone again, so much so that teammates had to separate the two.

Despite the altercation, Jacksonville did not discipline Ramsey. He played the rest of the game and played a major role in shutting down Houston star receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
According to ESPN's Michael DiRocco, Ramsey left the visiting locker room after declining to talk to the media. Marrone, after the game, said he “couldn't recall” what their argument was about and “it's a lot of emotion on that field.”
The No. 5 overall pick in 2016, Ramsey quickly ascended up the ranks of the NFL's best cornerbacks. He was a first-team All-Pro by the end of his second season and a two-time Pro Bowler by the end of his third.
If (or when) the Jaguars do trade him, they should receive significant assets in return, considering he is one of the NFL's elite cornerbacks at 24 years old. However, his contract situation may hurt the return the Jaguars get in a possible deal. He has publicly asked for a new contract; his rookie one expires after the 2020 season.
