The Jacksonville Jaguars are preparing to showcase both newcomers, head coach Urban Meyer and quarterback Trevor Lawrence. In doing so, they are doing their best to add weapons around Lawrence, especially after the devastating loss on rookie running back Travis Etienne, who suffered an injury against the New Orleans Saints in the preseason.

Well, on Wednesday they kicked it off by adding wide receiver Tyron Johnson on waivers, who was released by the Los Angeles Chargers in a surprising move.

The Jaguars didn't stop there, either. On Thursday, they added a tight end, bringing in Jacob Hollister, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

The Jaguars watched the Tim Tebow experiment fail and are now bringing in another tight end. Hollister was a surprising cut by the Buffalo Bills, and the Jaguars wasted no time in bringing him down south.

These aren't top-tier moves, but at this point in the season, teams don't usually make huge moves. Nonetheless, these are two capable players that Lawrence could benefit from using, and his rookie season could end up going well. He was named the starter, and in turn, Gardner Minshew was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, putting to bed any possible quarterback controversy for Urban Meyer.
