The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered another disappointing loss on Sunday following a 37-7 blowout defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams. Jags head coach Urban Meyer continues to face a myriad of questions about the struggles of his squad as Jacksonville continues to be one of the worst teams in the league this season.
One of the most interesting queries Meyer faced was about the playing time of running back James Robinson. The Jaguars recently stated that Robinson, who was previously tagged as questionable to suit up against the Rams due to heel and knee injuries, was not one hundred percent healthy. Robinson still ended up playing on Sunday and was actually even utilized by the Jags late in the game. When Meyer was asked about this decision, the coach responded in a rather surprising manner (h/t Michael DiRocco of ESPN):
I asked Urban Meyer about that today and his response was: "That's a good question." Meyer said there's a RB rotation and RB coach Bernie Parmalee must have wanted to get Robinson a few more carries at that point. When I said that didn't seem wise Meyer said: "I'd agree." https://t.co/T7gTmEb3GO

Meyer was clearly not in the mood to take the blame for the Robinson decision. He threw running back coach Bernie Parmalee under the bus by saying that it was Parmalee's decision to use Robinson in crunch time. To make matters worse, the Jaguars head coach even went as far as saying that he believes Parmalee made the wrong call.
This speaks volumes of the type of dynamics Meyer has within his ranks. There appears to be some sort of every-man-for-himself type of mentality going on within the Jaguars coaching staff, or at least this is what Meyer has exhibited with this most recent exchange.
