The Los Angeles Chargers are breathing down the necks of the Kansas City Chiefs, as Philip Rivers and company have a shot to tie the Chiefs atop the AFC West standings this Sunday, when they go up against the Cleveland Browns.

Unfortunately for Chargers rookie wide receiver Mike Williams, he won’t be able to suit up and help the Chargers’ fourth-ranked passing offense in that game. LLos Angeles ruled him out for the Browns game due to a knee injury, per Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk.

Williams, who was selected by the Chargers seventh overall in this year’s NFL Draft, missed the team's first five games of the season due to a herniated disc. He made his pro debut back in Week 6 against the Oakland Raiders. To date, he has amassed 84 receiving yards on nine receptions across six games played.

Even with Williams out, Los Angeles should be able to dispose of a winless Browns team. Tyrell Williams and Travis Benjamin are expected to get some slight increase in snaps and targets while the former Clemson Tiger is out of commission.

Aside from their aspirations to win the division, the Chargers are also looking to revenge their humiliating loss to Cleveland last season.
