The Miami Dolphins parted ways with some serious star power this NFL offseason. Among them was defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh who has since signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams.

Suh's absence was sorely missed last Friday against the Carolina Panthers following a 71-yard touchdown run by running back Christian McCaffrey. Suh wasted no time in reminding Miami what they are missing after commenting on a video of the highlight, via ESPN.

“Right up the Gut lol,” wrote Suh

The Dolphins cut Suh this offseason to shore up some cap space for the future. It appears he may still have some hard feelings about his unceremonial release which came just three years after they made him the highest-paid defensive player in the league.

Although Suh's numbers were not mind-boggling in Miami, there is no question that he is still regarded as one of the best at his position. This is especially true when it comes to stopping the run game which is why the Rams were more than happy to bring him in to play alongside defensive tackles Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers.

Although Donald and Brockers have established themselves as stalwarts up front, Los Angeles was not particularly good at defending the run last season. The addition of Suh should help fortify their defense in the trenches which will alleviate pressure from the other two. Meanwhile, the presence of the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in Donald and a Pro Bowl-caliber player like Brockers will free Suh up for more one-on-one opportunities. That said, it is easy to see why there is so much hype surrounding this particular unit going into the 2018 NFL season.
